Niacin

Action: Needed for conversion of fats, protein, carbohydrates, byoxidation reduction; acts directly on vascular smooth muscle, causing vasodilation, reduces LDI, HDI, triglycerides, and lipoprotein A

Uses: Pellagra, hyperlipidemias (types 4,5), peripheral vascular disease that presents a risk for pancreatitis

Side Effects:

Paresthesias, headache, dizziness, anxiety

Postural hypotension, vasovagal attachs, dysrhythmias, vasodilation, blurred vision, ptosis

Nausea, vomiting, anorexia, jaundice, hepatotoxicity, diarrhea, peptic ulcer, dyspepsia

Flushin, dry skin, rash, pruritus, itching, tingling, severe hypotension

According to a report that I found, this drug is used for restiction of cholesterol and fat intake which is to reduce cholesterol and fatty substances into your blood.

It is also used for treatment to prevent and treat a disease caused by unregular dieting with other medical problems. The name is Pellagra. Niacin is a vitamin B³

Niacin is used by drug users. Consumed in large quanities by those who want to fool drug screenings, specially for lipid-soluble drugs such as marijuana.

It promotes metabolism of the drug and flushes it out.

A lot of our teens are using this medication and do not no of the rsiks that they are taking. This is illegal use of perscribed medication.

Taking doses of 1.5-6 g a day usually experience a syndrome of side effects that are listed above.
